Why Curiosity?

Curiosity explained

Throughout my life, I have always been on a search…a journey…a quest. For what? For continued growth. For deeper, more meaningful connection. For more knowledge. For understanding. For my own identity. For a place to be my full self. Wanting to learn more. Wanting to be more. Wanting to express myself fully and freely. Creating new experiences. Evolving into new versions of me.

In my healing process/on my spiritual journey (which is not over by the way), I kept and keep coming back to the idea of curiosity. In times of great joy, staying curious. In times of struggle, staying curious. Always asking myself and God, what can I learn from this experience? What is here for me? By approaching my circumstances with curiosity, with play, and with a childlike wonder, I have been able to experience exponential growth and learn far more than I could have imagined. I am growing and evolving every single day. This learning, growth, and evolution is amplified when I share with others and they are able to learn, grow, and evolve alongside me. Through, with, and in curiosity.

Over time, I discovered that this quest is a quest for God (CCC 28). For you, this may be God or it may be the Universe, Source, the Creator, Oneness, etc. We each have a desire in our hearts for God and are called to communion with Him (CCC 27). I have found this deeper, more meaningful connection in my relationship with Jesus Christ and I am still diving deeper. On this journey, I have learned that my curiosity is relatable and helpful to others. I will continue to learn more. I will continue to be more. And I will share some of that here!

Curiosity defined (Oxford Languages):

cu·ri·os·i·ty

/ˌkyo͝orēˈäsədē/

noun

a strong desire to know or learn something.

That pretty much sums it up for now. Be curious. Stay curious. Live in curiosity.

I am honored and humbled that you chose to share this space with me. Thank you!
